Since joining at the end of summer in 2009 I have enjoyed this alive and happening on-line forum, made great connections, learned loads about other businesses and what's out there and enjoyed face to face networking.  I am now focusing on turning Contacts into potential Clients.

I am also pleased to say that I instigated the creation of one of the fast growing sub-groups from the forum, Aberdeen Wellness, which is bringing together like minded people in the wellness, coaching, training and lifestyle therapy domains.  Without the forum, this thriving group would not be supporting and learning from each other as we focus on continuing to grow and enhance the Wellness World!

So this group, gets my full thumbs up and I hope you will also join ~ it's easy, fun and rewarding.

I'm pleased to say that Strathclyde University granted the Wellness Coaching Accreditation that I have been working towards for the last 18 months.  After the University had received and reviewed my big portfoliio full of all my learning and experiences covering coaching, counselling and various wellness domains, I was invited down to Glasgow for an interview with the Director of Life Long Learning.  I was pleased to learn of my fate on the day and I wasn't sent home and left to wait for ever!  I am now just waiting to receive my certificate which I will FRAME AND PUT ON MY WALL!  It is being "created" for me as this is the first time the University has granted such a certificate.  How cool is that?  To my knowledge, I am the first person in the UK who has completed a bespoke programme under the Wellness Coaching umbrella and for it to be fully endorsed and accredited by a University.  I'm blowing my own trumpet here!  Now, it's time to get down to even more hard work ~ expanding my coaching practice.

I have recently returned from a retreat centre on the Isle of Man which is worth checking out for yourselves.  It's called Brightlife (www.brightlife.com).  As quoted from their website ~

"The centre is a world away from the rigours and pressures of everyday life. Among the tree-lined acres you will find beautiful rooms, exquisite food, discreet service, relaxing places, quiet corners, secluded gardens and stunning views."

Each month throughout the year, they run courses on a range of subjects.  I attended the Conscious Medicine workshop with Gill Edwards.  As part of my wellness accreditation and continued journey to explore my own spirituality.... this was an interesting one for me. 

Even if you just want to induldge in a workshop for yourself (they also do corporate) and enjoy the retreat experience, I would highly recommend it.
